INSAR Poster Presentation: Characterizing Sleep in Autistic Youth

Congratulations Hangsel Sanguino on presenting his work at the International Society for Autism Research Conference (INSAR) in Melbourne, Australia!

Hangsel’s work titled “Multidimensional Sleep Health in Autistic Youth: Implications for Research and Intervention.” looks to characterize sleep in autistic youth by examining the different factors that contribute to good sleep health. Over 50% of autistic youth experience poor sleep which can greatly impact mental health and physical wellbeing. Despite this, no prior studies have examined sleep health in autistic youth. Hangsel hopes this work can help characterize the dimensions of sleep to better inform sleep interventions for autistic youth.

Stay tuned for more updates as Hangsel is looking to publish his work and results soon.
